MARENGO TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - A man was arrested during a traffic stop after the deputy saw a marijuana plant in the man's vehicle's trunk.
The Calhoun County sheriff's deputy stopped the vehicle on westbound Interstate 94 near 24 Mile Road in Marengo Township at 9:02 a.m. Oct. 14.
The deputy noted numerous indicators of a possible drug trafficker and investigated "further," according to a news release.
A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed about 2 pounds of suspected marijuana plant material concealed in the trunk.
The driver, a 21-year-old from Madison, Wisc., was arrested and taken to the Calhoun County Jail for possession with intent to deliver marijuana.
