KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) - The brother of a man who shot a Kalamazoo County Sheriff's deputy has been sentenced for his part in the crime.
Christopher Wright was sentenced Monday to 32 days in jail and two years probation. He must also pay court costs.
Wright's brother William shot Dep. Jeff Nichols in the arm on Jan. 6 after Nichols pulled him over for a routine traffic stop. William Wright pleaded guilty to three charges in connection with the shooting on Feb. 21 as part of a plea deal.
Christopher Wright pleaded guilty on Jan. 31 to resisting and obstructing a police officer. He also testified against his brother as part of a plea deal with prosecutors.
