Kalamazoo, Mich. (WOOD) - An explosion led to a fierce fire that collapsed a two-story home in Kalamazoo early Sunday morning, prompting a criminal investigation to begin.

Arouns 12:30 a.m., Kalamazoo public safety officers were in the area of the 1700 block of Fulford Street when they heard the explosion.

When they arrived, they were told no one was inside but couldn't go in because the blaze was so intense.

The home at the corner of Fulford and Hays Park collapsed within minutes.

A neighboring home sustained minor damage to the siding and roof.

No one was hurt and the investigation continues.
