PORTGE, Mich. (WOOD) - A 23-year-old man died after his pickup truck crashed along a Kalamazoo County highway ramp.
A passerby called the Portage Department of Public Safety Dispatch after seeing the vehicle near the ramp from southbound U.S. 131 to Interstate 94.
Officers and medical personnel arrived there at 2:34 a.m. Tuesday and noticed the driver was the only occupant.
The driver -- identified as Kameron Ford Sherwood from Kalamazoo -- was treated but pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said Sherwood's pickup truck went off the left shoulder of the ramp and overturned several times.
Sherwood was wearing his seat belt and alcohol use is unknown, police said in a news release.
The accident remains under investigation and anyone with information is asked to call the police at 269.329.4567 or Silent Observer at 269.343.2100.
