Citizens' tips lead to drug, gun bust

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) - Citizens concerned about drug trafficking occurring in their neighborhood alerted police who conducted a drug and gun bust.
A 21-year-old Kalamazoo man was arrested on charges of possession with intent to deliver marijuana and felony firearm, in connection with the investigation.
Kalamazoo Valley Enforcement Team officers from the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety Community Outreach and Problem Solving Division (COPS), and officers from the Kalamazoo Metro Swat Team executed a search warrant in the 500 block of Lawrence Street in Kalamazoo on Wednesday.
Officers found a large amount of marijuana, a quantity of suspected crack cocaine, an electronic scale, packaging equipment and a handgun at the scene.
