Corrections officer faces sex charge

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOOD) - A Calhoun County Sheriff's Office corrections officer has been arrested on charges of criminal sexual conduct and solicitation.

It's alleged that the crime was committed while the officer was off-duty and that it happened more than once.

Michigan State Police is conducting the investigation. The officer has been lodged at the Kalamazoo County Jail pending arraignment.

The officer is on paid administrative leave.
