MARENGO TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - An 18-year-old Coldwater resident is accused of burglarizing a Calhoun County business.

The suspect removed the rear window at Warman's Party Store, 908 E. Michigan Ave. in Marengo Township, and crawled inside, according to the sheriff's department.

The store's surveillance camera captured the suspect stealing alcohol, cigarettes and other items. He then fled the scene.

A police K-9 unit could not track down the suspect near the scene around 2:12 a.m. Monday.

Detectives were able to develop the male suspect's identity and location, which was a Marshall apartment complex where he was staying.

Authorities arrested the suspect on charges of burglary and an outstanding felony warrant for selling narcotics on a school campus.

Police recovered the stolen items from the business.
