KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) - An older man with bad teeth is being sought for robbing a Fifth Third Bank in Kalamazoo Friday, a heist that provided 18 crisp surveillance pictures.
---- Photos: 'Bad teeth' robber caught on camera ----
He walked into the Fifth Third Bank, 4109 Portage Road, around 10 a.m. Friday, showed a silver handgun, ordered everybody to lie on the floor, threatened one of the clerks with the weapon, emptied a cash drawer and stole the money, as surveillance photos show.
A red dye pack that was in the money exploded shortly after the suspect ran away, police said, and may have splattered on his clothes and body.
A Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety K-9 unit tracked the suspect to the parking lot behind the business but could not find him.
The suspect is described as a white man, about 65 to 70 years old, about 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing 140 pounds, having "bad teeth" and no facial hair. He was wearing a navy blue stocking cap; a green, nylon zip-up jacket; black pants; and rose-tinted glasses during the heist.
