KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) - In World War 2, US pilots relied on certain planes to carry out their missions. Two of the more famous models, the B-29 Superfortress and the P-51 Mustang, are at the Air Zoo of Kalamazoo through Wednesday.

The B-29 was used through the Korean War, and a B-29 was used to carry the atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki 67 years ago this week.

The P-51 Mustang was used in nearly every combat zone in World War 2 and in Korea.

Both planes are on display at the Air Zoo , and flights will be offered on Tuesday and Wednesday.
