KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) - A man is in critical condition at Bronson Methodist Hospital after being found and suffering "obvious head injuries" from an apparent assault.

There are no suspects in custody at this time.

Officers responded at 8:53 p.m. Wednesday to the 900 block of Stockbridge Avenue in Kalamazoo "on a report of a person down," according to a news release.

They arrived and saw the injured 38-year-old Kalamazoo victim on the ground.

As detectives continue to investigate, they ask witnesses to call them at 269.337.8994 or Silent Observer at 269.343.2100 and help solve this case.
