TEKONSHA, Mich. (WOOD) - Two young men were arraigned Thursday afternoon in connection to an arson case in Calhoun County.
The suspects are 18-year-old Dillon Eaton and 19-year-old Sergio Ulleg, according to the prosecutor's office. They were taken into custody on Tuesday and could spend up to 20 years in prison if convicted.
Eaton was arraigned on two counts of arson of a dwelling. His bond was set at $15,000.
Ulleg was arraigned on one count of arson of a dwelling. His bond was set at $1,000.
Both Eaton and Ulleg are expected back in court for a preliminary hearing on Feb. 23.
Eaton, a probationary member of the Tekonsha Township Fire Department, allegedly intentionally started a fire at 397 E. Canal St. on Jan. 26 and at 480 E. Jackson St. on Jan. 28, officials told 24 Hour News 8.
Ulleg is allegedly connected with the second fire.
The suspects have confessed to the crimes, officials said.
Both homes in Tekonsha were vacant at the time and sustained a lot of damage, officials said.
