ALBION, Mich. (WOOD) - One person was arrested after an Albion couple woke upĀ  and saw a man inside their bedroom going through their possessions.

The man fled once the couple woke up, but they called police right after it happened around 7 a.m. Wednesday in the 400 block of Lombard Street.

A police dog was brought in who tracked the scent to a nearby house on Snyderman. Once they obtained a search warrant, investigators found stolen property inside the house. Two people were then taken into custody, but Albion police later released the second person.

Police believe the 33-year-old suspect, Aaron Jeffrey Cypret, found a hidden key near the garage and entered the house that way.

He was arraigned for home invasion on Thursday, and additional charges are likely.
