KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) - A Public Health Advisory has been lifted after at least 300,000 gallons of sewage spilled from a manhole in Kalamazoo.
The City of Kalamazoo has received official notice from the Kalamazoo County Health and Community Services Department to remove advisory.
Residents were told to avoid contact near a wooded area north of the Nazareth Complex on the west side of Nazareth Road near Gull Road.
A blocked sewer line caused the untreated raw sewage to spill Jan. 4 into a wetland area and Averill Lake.
