KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) -- In their third day of deliberations, the jury in the trial of Anthony and Marsha Springer asked for clarification of the torture charge against the couple.
They are accused of torture, child abuse and murder in the death of their 16-year-old daughter, Calista, who died in a house fire in 2008.
Judge Paul Stutesman told the jurors that to find the Springers guilty of torture they would have to determine the Springers intended to cause Calista pain and suffering.
Jury deliberations continue as a verdict has not been reached. They will resume deliberations on Friday.
