KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) - Two teens are in the Kalamazoo county jail after police say they broke into an apartment and tried to steal an iPod.

The home invasion happened Friday in the 14200 block of Hidden Hills Dr.

The resident says she heard noises in her apartment. When she looked in her kitchen, she found a man standing there, holding her iPod. The suspect dropped it and ran off.

Police got a description of the suspect and used a canine unit to locate a 17-year-old Kalamazoo man.

The suspect told officers he had an accomplice, who was acting as his lookout.

Police found and arrested that second suspect, an 18-years-old Kalamazoo male.

Both teens are awaiting charges.
