KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) - Police in Kalamazoo have identified "people of interest" in the death of an area antique dealer.
Bob Medema, 74, was found beaten to death in his Kalamazoo home on Saturday morning. Police say the homicide does not appear to have been random and that Medema was likely targeted.
Tuesday, Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety Director Jeffrey Hadley confirmed to 24 Hour News that that "people of interest" have been identified.
Medema's family said Monday that the death was "brutal and cruel."
Community members are remembering Medema was an old-school businessman who was always happy to interact with customers at his antique store Emporium.
