KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) - One man robbed National City Bank in Kalamazoo on Thursday, although detectives believe it was three people who were behind the scheme.
The suspect entered the bank, 108 E. Michigan Ave., at around 2:20 p.m., indicated he had a gun and stole cash, police said. No one was injured.
He left the bank and walked into the Radisson Hotel through the southeast entrance, near Zazio's, with the cash. The man is described as black, about 5-foot-8 to 5-10 and slender in his early 20s. He reportedly was wearing a black dress shirt, a light-colored tie, dark pants, dark shoes and a black doo-rag.
He went into the Radisson's lobby restroom, met up with two men, changed clothes and exited the building with the men, walking north on Rose -- according to witnesses.
His new outfit included a blue jacket with white stripes, a baseball hat with a white emblem, a black shirt with a large red emblem, dark jeans and dark shoes.
The second man was wearing a blue hat, a blue winter jacket with a white stripe on the sleeves, a blue hooded sweatshirt under the jacket, and he was carrying a small backpack. He is black, likely in his late 20s to early 30s, about 5-7 to 5-10 and had a medium build, according to a news release.
The third man is white, in his late 20s to early 30s, about 5-8 to 5-10 and had a medium build. He was wearing a brown and white print jacket, blue jeans and white tennis shoes.
