BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOOD) - A Battle Creek man has been found guilty of murdering his former roommate in February.
Robert Nelson, 51, was charged with the murder of John George on February 22, the day after his former roommate John George was found dead of apparent blunt force trauma.
A 911 caller told dispatchers a friend - Nelson - was at his residence and said he had just killed someone. Police then went to the Sharon street home and found George. Nelson was arrested shortly thereafter.
A jury in Calhoun County found him guilty of second-degree murder Thursday.
Sentencing is set for Nov. 15.
