KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) - A 39-year-old Portage man was arrested a day after allegedly robbing a 5/3 Bank in Kalamazoo.
On September 2, a suspect was described by witnesses as a light-skinned black man, wearing a black long-sleeved shirt, dark pants, large oval glasses with yellow lenses and a tan cowboy-style hat. He also is missing the tip of his right index finger to the first knuckle.
The man is likely in his late 20s to late 30s, standing about 6-feet to 6-2 with a medium build, according to a news release.
The robber ran from the scene, authorities said. A K-9 track was attempted but the track was lost a short distance from the bank, officials said.
On September 3, a Portage man was arrested for this crime. He will be arraigned soon.
