KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) - Five people were arrested in the fifth drug raid of a single Kalamazoo residence in four years.
Officers from the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety's Community Outreach Problem Solving Division (COPS) raided the house in the 900 block of Trimble Avenue on Wednesday.
Individually packaged baggies of marijuana and other drug dealing evidence were recovered, police say.
Five men between the ages of 21 and 32 were arrest on a range of charges including possession with intent to deliver marijuana, maintaining a drug house, frequenting a drug house and outstanding warrants.
Four of those suspects were lodged in the Kalamazoo County Jail pending arraignment.
The residence was condemned after inspection by a Kalamazoo Housing Department official because of unsafe conditions, COPS said.
According to COPS, there have been five raids at that residence in four in connection to marijuana, cocaine and heroin trafficking. One of those was in June 2010, 24 Hour News 8 records confirm.
