MARSHALL TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WIOOD) - A teenager was distracted when his vehicle rear-ended a school bus in Calhoun County Thursday afternoon, according to the sheriff's department.
The Marshall Public Schools bus was traveling east on A Drive North near 14 Mile Road in Marshall Township around 3:15 p.m.
The bus driver activated the vehicle's red lights and stop-warning signal and coming to a complete stop.
That is when the collision occurred, police said, because the 16-year-old from Ceresco was "distracted by objects outside the car."
Nobody was injured, including the 13 students on the bus.
The teen was cited for failing to stop within an assured clear distance.
