SHERIDAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - The search will resume Wednesday morning for a missing West Michigan woman.
Mary Lands disappeared March 12, 2004 from her hometown of Marshall.
Jim Carlin, an independent investigator working with Lands' family, tells 24 Hour News 8 crews will search an area near F Drive North and 24 Mile Road in Sheridan Township. It is an area they have searched the last two years.
Crews will use cadaver dogs from out of state that specialize in water recovery.
On the day Lands vanished, her fiancé, Christopher Prat, says Lands went for a walk late at night wearing only her medical scrubs and a favorite brown leather jacket.
Pratt remains a suspect in the disappearance. Right now, he is serving time for assault on a more recent girlfriend. His earliest possible parole date is February 2012.
For years, there was a feud between local police, private investigators and Lands' family. Recently, all parties came together and are committed to finding Lands.
24 Hour News 8 will be in touch with the crews to let you know what develops, if anything, from the search.
