98-year-old dies in car crash

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOOD) - Police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred in Battle Creek late Friday afternoon.
Authorities say a 24-year-old was driving south on Limit Street near Goodale Avenue at 3:42 p.m. when the vehicle collided with another vehicle driven by a 72-year-old woman.
The passenger in the second vehicle --a 98-year-old female -- was taken to a hospital where she later died.
Alcohol does not appear to be a factor, according to police.
The crash is still being investigated.
