KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) - Four people were arrested and now face various charges after a series of busts in Kalamazoo.
On Wednesday and Thursday, officers the Kalamazoo patrol and Community Outreach Problem Solving (COPS) divisions investigated tips of drug deals.
In one of those cases, two people were stopped regarding a trespassing incident in the 800 block of Burrell Avenue. A 36-year-old man was then arrested on an outstanding warrant and a 29-year-old was arrested for possession of cocaine.
In another case, a juvenile was observed selling drugs in the 700 block of North Westnedge Avenue. A search following his arrest revealed more cocaine in baggies tied around his genitals. The 15-year-old now faces charges of delivery of cocaine and was lodged in a juvenile facility.
In a third bust, a 36-year-old man was observed selling cocaine in the 1100 block of Douglas Avenue. He was arrested on felony drug charges. Further investigation revealed the man's girlfriend had driven him to the area to make the sale and that she had brought her son and the suspect's son to the scene. Charges are now being sought against that 35-year-old woman.
Anyone with information regarding illegal drugs or firearms activity is asked to contact COPS at 269.337.8880 or Silent Observer at 269.343.2100.
