3 men arrested in Kalamazoo robbery

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) - Officers in Kalamazoo arrested three Kalamazoo residents they say robbed a man early Thursday morning.

According to the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety just before 2 a.m. Thursday a man was in the 1600 block of E. Main Street when he was approached by a man with a black bandana over his face.

The victim told police the suspect placed an object to the back of his head that resembled a gun.

The suspect then demanded that victim turn over his property.

The victim gave money and jewelry to the robber.

The suspect fled the scene in a white late model Cadillac. The victim of the robbery was not injured.

Minutes after the report of the robbery Kalamazoo Public Safety officers located a possible suspect vehicle in the 1400 block of Humphrey Street occupied by three male subjects.

The vehicle was stopped without incident the occupants were identified as the suspects in the robbery.

The men were arrested and lodged at the Kalamazoo County Jail on charges of robbery, accessory to commit robbery, violation of parole and possession of marijuana pending review of this investigation by the prosecutor’s office.
