KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) - Three Kalamazoo men, accused of delivering heroin, were arrested Thursday.
The incident happened at 4 p.m. in the 1300 block of N. Burdick Street.
Officers said they received a tip from neighbors that heroin trafficking was occurring in the neighborhood.
During the investigation, officers saw two of the suspects leave a house and deliver heroin to someone else. Officers then followed the two suspects back to the house and had previously obtained a search warrant for the residence.
The two suspects were arrested outside the home, while the third suspect, who was inside the house, opened a window and got onto the roof in an attempt to flee the scene, according to a news release.
The third suspect then went back into the house where he was arrested.
Officers searched the house and found suspected heroin, packaging equipment and marijuana.
Two 19-year-old men were arrested for conspiracy and delivery of heroin.
The third suspect is a 32-year-old man who was on parole, and wanted on a parole violation warrant and two additional warrants. He was arrested for those warrants and for conspiracy and delivery of heroin charges.
All three suspects are currently lodged at the Kalamazoo County Jail.
