BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOOD) - The materials manufacturer that announced last month it would reopen a vacant Battle Creek plant has released details about the first of more than 220 jobs it will create.
Janesville Acoustics manufactures acoustical and thermal fiber insulation, and automotive decorative trim and molded fiber products, according to its website.
Janesville will hire 225 people and use the Battle Creek facility to build felt parts for cars and trucks.

The Battle Creek Michigan Works! agency and Battle Creek Unlimited are providing job training.
Those interested in learning more about the jobs can go to the Michigan Works! website or go to the Michigan Works! office at the Battle Creek Service Center.
There will also be information at the Battle Creek Regional Job Fair on Friday, Sept. 21 between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. at the Burnham Brook Community Center.
