BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOOD) - Two Battle Creek police officers have been placed on administrative leave as they are under investigation for "off-duty behavior," according the police chief.
Battle Creek Police Chief Jackie Hampton told 24 Hour News 8 that one of those suspended is a patrol officer and the other is a lieutenant. Both are department veterans who have had successful careers up to this point.
The two have been on administrative leave since July 30.
Hampton would only say that the investigation into the two involves "off-duty behavior." The investigation should be completed by Friday.
Hampton stressed that the accusations against the two are, at this point, only allegations and the officers have a right to privacy.
