KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) - One of the three people accused of three armed robberies on or near Western Michigan University's campus has pleaded guilty.

Ryan Hattaway, 20, pleaded guilty to two counts of armed robbery.

Hattawy; Antoine Bernard Cantrell, 19; and Jocelyn LaShawn Walker, 18 were arrested after Dec. 7, 2012 robberies on campus and at a West KL Avenue 7-Eleven.

The three suspects and a fourth person were arrested Dec. 10 after they allegedly snatched a woman's purse at the Walmart on Ninth Street in Oshtemo Township and then crashed their getaway vehicle near KL Avenue.

After their arrest, deputies noted their similarity to suspect descriptions in the Dec. 7 robberies. After being interviewed by WMU Public Safety and Sheriff's detectives, the three admitted they had been involved in the campus-area robberies, according to the sheriff's department.

Hattaway's sentencing is scheduled for April 15.
