IONIA, Mich. (WOOD) - A 19-year-old Pontiac man was arrested and faces charges in both Oakland and Ionia counties on various criminal sexual conduct charges.
William Carl Kilburn was arrested after a six-week investigation by both the Ionia and Montcalm county sheriff's departments. He allegedly tried to get a 16-year-old Ionia County girl to get sexual material for him and also tried to get the girl's 8-year-old relative to have sex with him.
He was arrested Nov. 21 in Oakland County, and was arraigned Nov. 26 in Ionia County.
He faces charges of:
- Conspiracy to Commit CSC 1st Degree
- Distribution of Child Sexually Abusive Materials
- Solicitation or Promotion of Child Sexually Abusive Materials
- Using a Computer to Commit a Crime
Kilburn is currently being held at the Ionia County Jail.
