BELDING, Mich. (WOOD) - An 85-year-old woman wandered away from an assisted living home near Belding and was found a few hours later when her walker was spotted by Aero Med near a heavily wooded area.
Charlotte Tisdel, who suffers from dementia, went missing from the assisted living home on Bradley Road around 8 a.m. Wednesday.
About 25 people began a search, including volunteer firefighters, deputies and Michigan State Police troopers.
Aero Med was called in to help search. On their last pass before leaving the search, the people in the helicopter spotted her blue walker.
Tisdel was suffering from hypothermia and was taken to the hospital for treatment. She was alert and talking when emergency personnel found her around 12:45 p.m.
