LYONS TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - A woman was seriously injured after being ejected from the back of a crashed ORV dirt bike in Ionia County.

Aero Med transported the 34-year-old Elsie resident from the scene to Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids.

She was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash on Wager Road east of Kramer Road in Lyons Township, according to the Ionia County Sheriff's Department.

A 25-year-old man from Pewamo was the driver of the bike.

Alcohol is believed to be a factor as the crash, which occurred at 5:24 p.m. Monday and remains under investigation, police said.
