Storms damage lakeshore homes

HAMILTON, Mich. (WOOD) - Strongs storms blew across portions of West Michigan overnight, causing damage to many homes -- especially those along the lakeshore.

24 Hour News 8 got pictures in from some of our viewers showing where some of the damage was the worst. One home in Hamilton at the Shady Acres Mobile Home Park was damaged when a tree crashed down on top of it.

The woman who lives there was trapped inside. Her son had to kick in the door to get her out.

At least one other home was damaged by a falling tree -- a woman in that house was sitting in her living room when it hit the roof.
