BELLEVUE, Mich. (WOOD) - The founder of a youth home and animal rescue organization who was arraigned in a sex crime allegedly involving multiple teens is receiving two additional counts of criminal sexual conduct.
Michael Terpening is being charged with criminal sexual conduct in the first-degree--intercourse with a person under the age of 13--involving one victim from 1999 to 2000.
His hearing is set for January 13 at the Barry County District Court. His arraignment is for $100,000 cash or surety bond.
Terpening was on bond, but turned himself in after a warrant was authorized for his arrest Friday morning.
He was originally charged in August on two counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct; three counts of aggravated indecent exposure, one count of criminal sexual conduct - assault to commit sexual penetration; and three counts of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct.
