HASTINGS, Mich. (WOOD) - Michael Terpening, who already faces 12 counts of sexual assault, was also charged with felony insurance fraud in the Barry County District Court on Friday.
The fraud allegedly occurred on Feb. 25, 2011. Details have not been released.
Terpening, 32, has been released from police custody on bond for his other charges.
Police will take Terpening back into custody for the new charge.
He will likely be arraigned on the insurance fraud charge on Monday afternoon or Tuesday.
Terpening faces 12 counts of sexual assault stemming from allegations that he assaulted young male clients enrolled in programs for troubled teens that he ran.
Terpening is married and has eight children, none of whom are alleged victims. He was ordered not to spend time alone with his children in early September.
