Victims identified in deadly M-43 crash

DELTON, Mich. (WOOD) - Two people are dead after their S-U-V's hit head-on early Saturday morning.

Both people were pronounced dead at the scene.

The collision happened on M-43 near Bush street in Delton around 3:30 a.m.

According to the investigation police said, it appears the S-U-V traveling northbound on M-43 crossed the center line and struck the S-U-V that was traveling southbound.

Drivers of both S-U-V's were killed. Barry Township Police said the victims were 24-year-old Nicole L. Hicks of Battle Creek and 59-year-old William C. Torrey of Delton.

M-43 was shutdown after that crash between Floria road and Orchard street.It is not known if alcohol was a factor in this crash.
