OTSEGO TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - A 29-year-old man died after he rode his motorcycle the wrong way on an Allegan County road and collided with a semi-truck, police say.
Matthew Dillon was traveling west on M-89 near 108th Avenue in Otsego Township around 8 p.m., Monday, according to the Allegan County Sheriff's Department, and hit the eastbound truck.
The truck's driver, Thomas Dake of Ada, Ohio, told police he could not avoid the collision. The rig caught fire and Dake was able to escape, only suffering minor injuries.
Authorities continue to investigate.
