ALLEGAN, Mich. (AP) - A western Michigan man whose wife stabbed his son in the back with a kitchen knife has pleaded guilty to being an accessory after the fact.
Joseph Embree pleaded guilty Friday in Allegan County Circuit Court to being an accessory after the fact to a felony.
Authorities say Embree took his 14-year-old son to the hospital after the boy's stepmother stabbed him April 17 during an argument in their Dorr Township home. Police say Embree gave investigators false information.
Monica Embree pleaded guilty to charges including assault with intent to do great bodily harm. She will be sentenced Aug. 21.
Joseph Embree will be sentenced Sept. 11. A message seeking comment was left for defense attorney Patrick Burson.
