SAUGATUCK, Mich. (WOOD) - Consumers Energy confirmed that there are about 4,800 without power in the Douglas/Saugatuck area.

The outage was caused by weather, according to Consumers. There are no equipment issues, but there may be downed power lines.

The company does not yet have an estimate on when power will be restored.

The Allegan County dispatch urges residents not to call 911 unless they have an actual emergency.
