HASTINGS, Mich. (WOOD) - Two people were airlifted to hospitals early Friday morning after they were hurt when their car went off the road.
The crash happened at around 2:30 a.m. at the intersection of Mill and Hanover streets in Hastings.
Police say the driver was traveling too fast around a curve, lost control of the vehicle, hit a power pole and a stone wall.
Donald Falconer, 21, of Hastings, was airlifted to Sparrow Hospital in Lansing and 20-year-old Ashley Wagner, of Hastings, was airlifted to Spectrum Butterworth. Both victims were trapped in the vehicle and had to be extricated out of the vehicle.
The victims were conscious when they were airlifted from the scene and are considered to be in serious condition, police said.
They believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.
