GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - A woman who set fire to a halfway house in July 2012 has been sentenced to prison.

Ashley Marie Harris was sentenced Tuesday to six to 20 years in prison. She was also ordered to pay restitution to the tune of $72,293.11.

Harris pleaded guilty in January to arson of a dwelling in Kent County Circuit Court. One count of third-degree being a habitual offender was dropped as part of a plea agreement.

Harris used lighter fluid to set the Charity Recovery House on Francis SE ablaze. Harris had been visiting her boyfriend at the house and became upset before setting the fire. No one was hurt.

The Charity Recovery House has been here for nine years, and takes in homeless people with addiction problems.
