GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - A Grand Rapids woman who admitted to stabbing her boyfriend to death in a cemetery has been sentenced.
Christina Kipkorir was sentenced to 30 to 90 years in prison, plus fines and costs.
Kipkorir pleaded guilty in February to killing 67-year-old Robert Shields during an argument in June 2012.
She was originally charged with open murder and pleaded to a lesser charge of second-degree murder.
Shields' body was found in Oak Hill Cemetery near Eastern Avenue and Hall Street SE. He had been stabbed several times.
