GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - A Grand Rapids woman pleaded guilty Monday to stabbing her boyfriend to death in a cemetery.
Christine Kipkorir admitted in court that she killed 67-year-old Robert Shields during an argument in June 2012.
She was originally charged with open murder and pleaded to a lesser charge of second-degree murder.
Shields' body was found in Oak Hill Cemetery near Eastern Avenue and Hall Street SE. He had been stabbed several times.
Under a plea agreement, Kipkorer is likely to spend a minimum of 15 years in prison. Sentencing is scheduled for March 14.
