GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Vice President Joe Biden is in Grand Rapids.

Grand Rapids police sources confirmed the vice president's plane touched down at Gerald R. Ford International Airport late Tuesday night.

Biden spent the night at the JW Marriott Hotel.

24 Hour News 8 received multiple reports from viewers of heavy police presence at the airport and around town early Tuesday evening.

Biden will speak at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday at American Seating Company’s factory in Grand Rapids.

The White House says Vice President Biden "will discuss with workers the Administration’s plan to help businesses bring manufacturing jobs back to America by eliminating incentives to ship jobs overseas and offering tax credits for insourcing."
