GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Nearly two weeks after a crane collapsed on construction at the Kent County jail, crews will begin the process of removing it on Wednesday.

During the removal, some of the crane will come out piece by piece, while other sections will be able to be removed in large sections.

-----

Watch the upper right-hand corner of the surveillance video provided by the Kent County Sheriff's Department. The crane collapses about 17 seconds into the short video.

-----

No one was injured in the collapse on Feb. 10. Nearly 200 inmates were moved, either to other sections of the Kent County jail or to other county jails in the area.

Construction at the jail was already 10 weeks behind schedule when this accident happened.
