Stolen car, bullet-riddled home linked

Suspects still sought

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - A wild string of events, apparently connected, occurred Tuesday night in Grand Rapids.

Police were dispatched to the Speedway gas station, 400 Leonard St. NW where a vehicle was stolen.

Then officers were dispatched to Jefferson Avenue and Dickinson Street SE on reports of several gunshots being fired.

Officers found that reported stolen vehicle on Jefferson Avenue, and bullet holes on the side of a home on nearby Brown Street.

Residents on nearby Montgomery Street reported they saw the suspects running though backyards, where police located a handgun, a glove and a mask.

A police K-9 unit was dispatched to this scene but could not track down the suspects.
