GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Silent Observer helped solve 201 crimes in 2012, according to a report the organization released Monday.
Of those 201 crimes, 163 people were arrested, and Silent Observer paid $12,000 in reward money for crime-solving information.

During the past 40 years, Silent Observer has worked with law enforcement to help solve crimes. In 2012, it was a finalist for the WOOD TV8 Connecting with Community Award.
