Shots fired near GR gas station

One man is in police custody

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - A man is in police custody for shooting a gun at someone outside a BP gas station in Grand Rapids.

Someone talked to police and claimed to be the intended victim, who was not hit by bullets, following the incident around 5 a.m. Sunday at 801 Franklin St. SE.

The suspect is facing an initial charge of carrying a concealed weapon unlawfully.

The Grand Rapids Police Department continues to investigate.
