GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Christmas is less than a week away, and plenty of children will be on the lookout for Santa and his reindeer.

You have the chance to see reindeer up-close at a Cedar Springs farm, which is celebrating its first Christmas this year.

The owners of Deer Tracks Junction brought some of the animals to WOOD TV8 Wednesday morning. (watch the video above for the interview with the owners as some of the reindeer roamed outside our studios)

Deer Tracks Junction, 7850 14 Mile Road, has two adults and five baby reindeer that you can pet.

You can take a tour and see the reindeer, whitetail deer and Tibetian yaks, and even Santa.

The farm owners told 24 Hour News 8 they wanted to add reindeer because the animals are not something you see every day.

"By nature, they are very friendly animals. They just love people on the tours -- they just come running when they see people," Kelly Powell, an owner of Deer Tracks Junction said.

Deer Tracks Junction is open Fridays from 4-8 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays from 1:30-8 p.m. The last day of the season is Dec. 30.

Admission is $13 for adults, and kids 2 and under are free.
