GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - The public has several opportunities to share ideas about the aesthetic future of the Indiana Railroad Bridge -- a.k.a. The Blue Bridge -- in Grand Rapids.
The popular pedestrian bridge crosses the Grand River just north of Fulton Street.
The Downtown Development Authority (DDA) soon will invest in the restoration of the bridge -- including replacing the decorative lighting and repainting the entire structure. The current blue color is rumored to be a primer coat.
There will be two public input sessions -- 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. Dec. 11 in The Overlook Room on the first floor of the Grand Rapids Public Museum, 272 Pearl St. NW.
Citizens can also share ideas on the DDA's Facebook fan page (Grand Rapids Downtown Development Authority) and via Twitter using #IndianaBridge
